NIPA Board Partial Refresh 2024 – applications invited!

Following the adoption of the change in governance at our 2023 AGM we are now inviting applications and re-applications from NIPA members for four roles on the NIPA Board:
- Treasurer and Board Director
- Board Member
- Board Member
- Board Member
Applications can be made by any NIPA member. This includes re-application by those currently undertaking the roles. If any member is considering applying for the Role of Treasurer, they must also be able to undertake the role and statutory duties of a Director of NIPA.
Please make your application, identifying clearly the role you are seeking to be appointed to, in writing by Thursday 8 February 2024 to info@nipa-uk.org
The submission should be no longer than two sides of A4 in the form of a personal statement and should address each of the following:
- What ideas, perspective or skills would you bring to the Board and what benefit would these bring to the Board and NIPA?
- What is your track record of NIPA involvement and commitment?
- What discipline, practice or areas of engagement in infrastructure are you most closely associated with and how would this bring diversity to the Board?
- What types of infrastructure and policy have you been involved with or have greatest interest in?
- What roles have you undertaken and what learning has this brought you that will inform your engagement and delivery in the Board and NIPA?
- Do you hold any other appointments, active involvement in other institutions and membership bodies or interest groups that could bring additional insight to your contribution and role on the Board?
- Confirmation that you are willing and able to engage actively in the Board and Council and be an active member and participant of at least one of the NIPA Council Working Groups (please number by preference):
• Policy and Practice;
• Learning and Research; and
• Growing and Engaging a Diverse Membership. - What area of particular interest or activity within NIPA and on the Board would you like to lead and why?
- In addition, applications for the Role of Treasurer and Board Director should set out any relevant experience or skills specifically relating to this role. Applicants for this role should also confirm commitment and no known impediment to undertaking the statutory duties of a Director of NIPA and to diligently perform the role of overseeing the financial management, reporting and accounting of NIPA’s affairs.
