Sir Ian Dove has been a judge of the High Court of England and Wales since 2014. Before that he was a practising barrister at No5 Chambers, taking on many notable planning, environmental and public law cases.

On 2 October 2022, Sir Ian was appointed as President of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in the Upper Tribunal.

 

Sir Ian has heard a number of judicial reviews under the Planning Act 2008 as well as a wide variety of other cases.
