Designing for success: The value of early design & heritage integration in DCO projects:

The role of design lead or champion has become far more central in recent years, moving from a technical support function to a strategic leadership role embedded across the entire project lifecycle. Despite this, technical topics, such as heritage, can still be seen as constraints and assessment outputs only. Drawing on recent insights from infrastructure and renewable projects, this talk explores how early engagement of heritage expertise in design can boost engagement, reduce risk and strengthen consent prospects for NSIPs.
