Join leading voices from across the infrastructure planning sector for a day of insight, discussion and networking. Last year’s conference sold out, so early booking is recommended.

NIPA’s annual conference is back for its 14th year, once again bringing together the key figures shaping the future of UK infrastructure planning and the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) regime. With major reforms now being implemented and infrastructure central to the Government’s growth agenda, this year’s event offers a timely opportunity to hear from leading experts, share experience and debate the future workings of the system.

The conference is a key event in the infrastructure planning calendar, providing a forum for developers, advisers, consultants, government representatives and others involved in infrastructure delivery to come together and discuss the latest developments in the Planning Act regime.

At a time of continued policy evolution and the need to start working with the reformed regime, the conference will explore the opportunities and challenges facing the NSIPs regime, reflecting on lessons from recent practice as well as current and future challenges.

As always, the event will combine thought-provoking discussion, expert insight and comment, involving both NIPA members and the wider infrastructure planning community.

Further details of the programme and speakers from across government, industry and professional practice will be announced shortly.

The day will also include excellent opportunities for networking with lunch, refreshments and informal discussion with colleagues from many different infrastructure sectors. It will finish with a reception at the end of the day.

Kindly hosted by Clifford Chance, Canary Wharf London

The 2026 conference is kindly sponsored by: Arcadis, Counter Context and SLR Consulting.   We are very grateful for their support.

Could your organisation host the NIPA Conference from 2027?

The NIPA Annual Conference is looking for a new home from 2027. Our hosts of many years will be moving offices and unfortunately will no longer be able to accommodate the event. If your organisation has facilities to host a conference for around 200 people or you have any suggestions, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss further: events@nipa-uk.org
