Launch of 2019 NIPA Award
On behalf of the NIPA Board, and as part of our continued drive to identify and showcase best practice within the planning for and delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs), I am delighted to launch our annual National Infrastructure Planning Association Award for “Best Project” – Inaugural 2019 Award.
The Award builds on NIPA’s Insights II Research Project which focused on Building Trust; Providing Evidence; ensuring Appropriate Controls; and Adaptive Delivery. NIPA would like submissions that demonstrate any or all aspects of best practice in participating in the Development Consent Order Process (DCO) for a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) and beyond.
Submissions for projects consented between 1st October 2017 and 30th September 2019, using the NIPA 2019 Awards Submission Form and following the NIPA 2019 Awards Submission Guidance Note should be submitted to awards@nipa-uk.org by 5.30pm on Monday 30th September 2019 at the latest.
A Judging Panel, including NIPA Council Members, will meet to consider submissions, and the Award will be presented at NIPA’s Annual Dinner on the evening of 21st November 2019.
Before submitting your project, please read the Guidance carefully, and we look forward to receiving your entries showcasing best practice and innovation in planning for and / or delivering NSIPs.
