NIPA Dinner 2025

November 21, 2025

Outstanding attendance and Keynote from Rt. Hon. Amber Rudd mark a memorable

2025 National Infrastructure Planning Association Annual Dinner

London, 20 November 2025, The National Infrastructure Planning Association (NIPA) held its Annual Dinner at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London, welcoming an exceptional turnout of 670 NIPA members and their guests. The event proved to be another outstanding occasion, celebrated with energy, connection and forward-looking discussion across the infrastructure planning community.

NIPA was honoured to welcome The Rt. Hon. Amber Rudd as the keynote speaker. Amber served as Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye from 2010 to 2019 and held several senior Cabinet positions, including Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change (2015–16), Home Secretary (2016–18) and Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (2018–19). She was a prominent and active voice in the campaign to remain in the European Union during the 2016 Referendum.

Today, Amber is a respected consultant and adviser within the financial and energy sectors. She sits as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Centrica PLC and Ryanair Holdings PLC, and serves as a Trustee of RUSI, the UK’s leading foreign affairs and defence think tank. She has also recently launched her podcast, The Crisis Room, which explores the major international crises shaping the UK’s security and political landscape.

The evening was expertly presided over by NIPA Council Chair, Steve Norris, whose warmth and humour ensured a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the night.

NIPA Director and Board Chair Tom Carpen gave a well-received and heartfelt address marking the end of his first year as Chair, expressing his thanks for all involved in the NIPA Leadership Team.

NIPA extends sincere thanks to all sponsors whose continued support makes this event possible and helps strengthen the community of professionals engaged in national infrastructure planning.

For the past decade, The Brewery has provided a superb backdrop for the NIPA Dinner and the Association expresses its gratitude for a decade of excellent partnership.  Looking ahead, NIPA is delighted to announce a new venue for 2026, one that will allow even more members and organisations to participate while retaining the distinctive character of this annual gathering.
