NIPA name checked in recent parliamentary committee reports

In recognition of NIPA’s industry standing and knowledge, over the past few months Board and Council members have given evidence to four parliamentary committees:

  1. The ESNZ Committee on the proposed updates to EN-1, EN-3 and EN-5 in line with the new strategic framework for energy infrastructure planning – the Committee’s report is here: Gridlock or growth? Avoiding energy planning chaos.
  2. The Environmental Audit Committee on Airport expansion and climate and nature targets, and their report published last week is here: Airport expansion and climate and nature targets.
  3. The ESNZ Committee on the proposed National Policy Statement EN7.   4. The Transport Committee on proposed amendments to the Ports NPS – their report is awaited.

 

It is great to see NIPA having a positive impact on informing policy development, in line with the ambitions of our NIPA Plan, demonstrating a real breadth of technical, project and legislative experience across multiple sectors!
